“I would highly recommend this book for everyone whether you be married, divorced or unmarried. It is a great read. This book took me through a lot of different emotions and opened my eyes to many things. It helped me understand some revelations about myself personally and how God feels about and views divorce. If you read this book with an open mind and heart, it will cause you to do some soul searching, but at the same time will help you heal from the effects of divorce whether you were the victim or the culprit in the situation. It is evident that Pastor Darius spent a lot of time thoroughly researching this topic. In this book he helps you to view and understand the difference in how divorce is viewed in Christianity and the Jewish community. This book is truly needed and will help many people be healed.”

False. Many teach Jesus changed Moses’ law. But Jesus stated that he did not come to change the law of Moses. Paul also stated that faith (grace) did not void the law. The majority of Christian teachings on divorce are in error because of the unfamiliarity with Jewish laws on marriage or divorce.
Matthew 5:17-17 (KJV) Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Romans 3:31 (KJV)
Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
False. Jesus did not use the word divorce in those passages of scripture. The original text uses the word “apolyo.” The original scriptures uses the phrase “put away = apolyo“ which means to separate. Some bible translations use the word "divorce" and others use the original phrase "put away." Jesus was not addressing people that were divorced, he was addressing those that were separated. This mistranslation is the cause of erroneous teachings.
False. There are scriptural examples of men God commanded to get divorced. In one Bible passage there are 113 men listed by name.
False. Moses addressed it in the Old Testament. The woman could remarry (multiple times) but not her former husband(s). The Apostle Paul instructed Christians that were divorced to remarry in the book of Corinthians. It has been overlooked because the early church did not use the terms we use today like divorcees or divorced.
