Darius Good is the Senior Pastor and President of Bible Gospel Center, Inc. and the founder of Good Treasure Ministries. He graduated in 2000 from the University of New Haven with a BA in Communications and a BA in Music Industry. He worked twelve years for The Youth Business Center where he serviced at-risk-youth in the city of Bridgeport. He hosts and produces the Good Treasure Podcast Show and The Divorced Christian Podcast Show which airs weekly on Radio1400 AM. The Divorced Podcast Show is the top searched show on the topic of Christian divorce on Apple Podcast and Spotify. Darius is the cofounder of Good Treasure Entertainment and has written and produced three studio gospel albums. He has also co-produced records for several platinum recording artist including the late music icon Whitney Houston. He is the Vice President and instructor of Reach the Nations Kingdom College. He is the author of the books: The Divorced Christian, Unlocking Godly Wisdom, Fear of the Lord, and the comic book David: Man of War. He is the creator and author of the children’s book series The Adventures of RiRi which currently has four book titles available. Darius Good was born in 1977 to the late Reverend John and Gwendolyn Good. He was the youngest of two children. Raised in New Haven, CT, he attended James Hillhouse High School and graduated in 1995. In 2000 he graduated from the University of New Haven with a duel degree in Communications and Music Industry. He worked in the music industry for several years. During that time he was also employed by Family Services Woodfield in Bridgeport, CT where he worked for 12 years with "at risk youth." In 2013 Darius was installed as president and pastor of Bible Gospel Center. He is the Vice President and provost of Reach the Nations Kingdom College. He is the co-founder of Good Treasure Entertainment. And the founder of Good Treasure Ministries. He is married and has four children.
THE MUSIC
At the age of 5 Darius began taking music lessons along with his sister. He learned several instruments; piano, drums, trumpet, frugal horn, french horn, timpani, recorder, percussions and organ. In middle school Darius was apart of the Sheridan Gospel Choir where he sang and played the drums. During his 7th grade year the choir was featured as guest performers at SHOW TIME AT THE APOLLO. By college Darius wanted to pursue music as a profession. He attended the University of New Haven where he received a BA in Communications and Music Business. While there Darius ran a student run record label along side several classmates as part of his senior year internship. During this time Darius released 2 albums produced by himself and a classmate, Luke Paterna. He also released a small project that was the soundtrack to a short film Darius had written called WISHES. This film was a class project that Darius wrote, directed, edited and scored. The film received praise from an award winning director for it's quality and creativity.
During his sophomore year Darius became friends with UNH alumni Darrell "Digga" Branch. Darius began doing session work, playing keyboard on different tracks. This studio work gave Darius his first professional experience. Diggs went on to produce for Jay Z, J Lo, Ludacris, 50 Cent (MANY MEN) and so many others. Soon after, Darius connected with a fellow classmate (Luke Paterna) and formed a production team. Eventually the two were signed to Characters where Troy Taylor renamed the duo The Formula. A year after signing with Characters, Troy created Song Book Entertainment and The Formula soon signed with the company. in 2002 The Formula, lead by Troy Taylor produced the song Unashamed for the late music icon Whitney Houston on her album JUST WHITNEY. The next year the duo got their second placement with R&B superstar Ginuwine, producing the song along with Troy Taylor, Bedda to Have Loved on Ginuwine's album THE SENIOR. The music duo went on to produce songs for artist signed to Arista, Warner Bros, RCA, Atlantic Records as well as soon to be R&B superstars Trey Songz, who was a writer at the time apart of Song Book Entertainment. None of those songs were released. It was during this time Darius' turned his focusing towards ministry.
In 2006 Darius formed Pham Records along with Toure Diggs and Marvin Browning. They released the album by the artist Norman Thomas entitled I WILL GO. This gospel album was a blend between gospel, jazz and pop. The project was praised by many for its quality and unique sound.
In 2017 Darius and Toure Diggs formed Good Treasure Entertainment. The first album was released entitled JESUS THE KING. This album was a production album entirely produced and written by Darius. The album featured singers from throughout the state of CT. In 2019 Darius released a 2nd studio project entitled, SEE YOU WHEN I GET THERE. This album was a tribute to his late father John Good. This project displayed Darius R&B roots, with the songs have a 90's R&B feel but lyrics that centered around God, inspiration and encouragement. Darius has plans of releasing more music in the near future.
MINISTRY
Darius was saved at a very young age. At the age of 12 Darius received a life changing prophecy from Prophet T.R. Campbell. This word revealed God's plan for Darius' life and that the Lord would call him into ministry at a later time. That time came in 2002 when Darius received a word from Apostle Roberta Knox to prepare himself to receive his father's mantle. In obedience Darius began preparing by studying the scriptures and sitting with his father for countless hours. In 2004 Darius received his first word from the Lord. This word opened doors receiving request to minister locally as well as in several states. Darius received his father's mantle in December 2005, several months before his father's death. During this time Darius was asked to be apart of the board of Reach the Nations, and became the Vice President and Provost of Reach the Nations Kingdom College. In 2013, Darius was installed as pastor and president of Bible Gospel Center, Inc. His teachings can be heard on radio and podcast.
